Uncrossings
Our daily lives are full of movement and interaction. We travel to work where we interact with countless people during the day. We visit our friends and family and discuss our joys and worries. We travel to the bank, to the post office, to the grocery store and we interact with all the various energies that exist within these spaces. As we interact with those positive and negative energies, we are simultaneously affected by them.
You can imagine this concept as a boat floating in the middle of the ocean. The boat is either balanced and peaceful or imbalanced and unstable depending on waves of the ocean around it. Similarly, the energy that you interact with can have a balancing or imbalancing affect on you. Unfortunately as an adult in our society, we often have less time to focus on positive energies leaving us to deal with stressful situations which often carry heavier negative energies.
Over time, negative energy can attach itself to our spirits and compound within us. Like a boat floating in the middle of the ocean, you can only be beaten around by negative waves for so long before you break. Whenever we experience the symptoms of built up negativity energies, we call it a crossed condition. This is where uncrossing methods come into play. Uncrossing is an umbrella term used to describe any spiritual methods used to correct a build up of negative energy. There are three main ways one can become “crossed” and in need of an uncrossing. The first and most traditional is by being cursed or hexed. This is when negativity is sent by a practitioner in your direction. The second is by “stepping in something”. This is when you inadvertently are exposed to negative energy in your daily routine. The last way, and most common is by intentionally placing yourself in negative situations.
Sen Elias’ journey to Hoodoo began with his grandmother’s guidance and wisdom and ancestral Gullah blood. His experience with magic comes from over twenty years as a practicing occultist, with an extensive background in both ceremonial and folk magic. He is a third-degree Alexandrian High Priest, scratched in Palo Mayombe, he’s received the Hand of Ifa, and he is a professional conjure man, teacher and spiritual leader in the hoodoo community of New Orleans, LA, where he owns Crescent City Conjure, a successful hoodoo, rootwork and conjure shop.

She is a business expert and spiritual leader, a social impact entrepreneur, podcast host, and accomplished speaker – someone who pushes the edge of society’s assumptions, continually redefining what it means to be a warrior, woman, healer, and witch. Tahverlee holds space unconditionally as a fierce seeker of truth. She is both the Temple Keeper at the Moon Temple Mystery School and a student of life. She commingles light and darkness to cut through the bindings that limit our own beliefs. Self-Empowerment Through IWI
Three intangibles are necessary when casting spells: intuition, wisdom, and intention. These are all that a practitioner needs to make magic that is both accessible and powerful. In this workshop, Martha and Vini will discuss the power that lives within the witch and the paths one takes to access that magic while using these three intangibles. They will explain how each intangible works, both individually and in concert with each other. The goal of this workshop is to educate practitioners in finding their sense of empowerment with no tools or products of any sort. Attendees of this workshop will walk away with a greater understanding of how intuition, wisdom, and intention play a larger role in the crafting of their spells than any item or product they may think they need.
Martha Kirby Capo is a Solitary Witch currently working with Brigid, Hekate, Pan, and Cernunnos. She is the page manager of Patheos Pagan’s shared blog The Agora, where she writes as The Corner Crone. Her Moments for Meditation can be heard on KPPR Pure Pagan Radio. Vincent Higginbotham is not initiated in any traditional form of witchcraft practice. Instead, he is mostly self-taught, following his gut in all things magic. He spends plenty of time researching to be sure his intuition is informed by wisdom before setting his intentions. It is both of these authors’ goal to empower others the way they wish they had been empowered in their earlier years.

Welsh Fairies and Familiar Spirits
Welsh mythology and folklore is filled to the brim with tales of Otherworldly beings. These beings are sometimes benevolent, and oftentimes extremely mischievous or even malevolent. However, one thing is certain: They have a strong association with magic within a Welsh context. During this talk we will explore the intersection between Welsh fairies and magic. Delving into the connection between many of the popular Welsh deities among Pagans today, such as Rhiannon, Gwyn ap Nudd, and Cerridwen, and their association with the Otherworld and fairies. Beyond this, we will also take a quick look at folk magic and the ways in which magical specialists forged relationships with fairies. This talk will not only offer an insight into folklore and magical belief, but also provide a framework as to how one might incorporate certain practices into a modern magical practice.
Mhara Starling was born in North Wales, raised on the Isle of Anglesey, and speaks Welsh as her native language. She is a Swynwraig, a modern day Welsh Witch, and her practice is inspired and informed by the traditions of her culture’s past, whilst being firmly rooted in the here and now. She is also an Awenydd of the Anglesey Druid Order, a published author, and teaches on the subject of Welsh magic and lore both online and in person.

Witches’ Wisdom Tarot: A Different Path Into Magic
At the heart of The Witches’ Wisdom Tarot lies the divinely embodied wisdom of Mother Earth shown through more than 200 shamanic journeys. Divination is magic in action. It reveals hidden forces within, in the past and the present. It reveals the future these forces are creating. But there is a greater magic afoot: divination reveals the Divine. It’s an ancient spiritual practice of communication, materialization and inspiration. It’s how we speak directly to the Divine. And when we do, a mysterious, ancient and sacred force comes forward with answers, support and guidance that are always in our best interests. Divination is proof that we are never alone, that magic is real, that the Divine is real.

Hearth & Fire Spirits: Guardians of Households, and Protectors of Bloodlines
Many cultures and spiritual traditions recognize that there are spirits who dwell in the households that can both help and harm the people who live there, such as Brownies, Domovoy, and Tomte. They may also recognize gods and deities that are petitioned to bless the hearth and home, like Brigid, Hestia, and Frigga. Many Asian cultures employ a variation of the “kitchen god” that was originally meant to bless and protect the family. While household spirits may not necessarily have a fiery aspect, it is no surprise that the hearth-based gods and spirits are all connected to fire. Within North Asian shamanic traditions, every family has its own household fire spirit, which can bless and protect the household and blood relatives. In this class, we will broadly explore the different types of household and hearth spirits and gods. But for those who are not tied to specific cultural deities & spirits, we will also explore the generic household fire spirit, which is general enough and practical for anyone to recognize and work with even if they are not North Asian, as well as how to employ a fire ceremony to strengthen your own household.
David Shi is a shamanic worker and folk magic practitioner who primarily engages in traditional North Asian forms of shamanism. He is primarily of Manchurian descent, but can also trace ancestry to Mongolian, Chinese, Korean, as well as a little Tungus Siberian and ancient Central Asian Turkic heritage as well. Raised in a household that incorporated both Southeast Siberian and North Chinese practices, David has dedicated his spare time to the study of the spiritual traditions of his ancestors and of greater Eurasia. Recognized as a sagaasha/ongodtengertei, a future shaman prior to initiation, among both Mongolian and Korean shamans, David’s practices are deeply rooted in spirit work in which ancestral and land spirits are called to empower all workings. David’s readings incorporate a combination of Tarot, Runes, Bones, Jaw-harp, as well as Mongolian stone divination (known as Kumalak in Turkic Central Asia). David is the author of the new book “Spirit Voices: The Mysteries and Magic of North Asian Shamanism”, and currently resides in Manhattan, New York where he occasionally provides spiritual services, products, and workshops to his immediate communities. Who’s Your Time Lord: The God or Goddess of Your Year
An astrology chart maps the planets in their journey around the Sun, taking a snapshot of the heavens on the day you born. This star chart is a template which displays the various areas of life, each governed by a particular planetary deity. We will dig deeply into the natal chart to learn when specific planets and life topics are activated to draw out the full potential of your natal placements. At each year of life, a different planetary Time Lord will be awakened to take the helm of your chart, as Chronocrator, the planet activated as your guiding Deity. We will discuss the astrological cycle of life and use 20/20 hindsight to create useful foresight for your present and future. If we have time, we will look at the Annual Solar Return and evaluate the unfolding of the natal promise. Have a copy of your astrology chart in hand!
Maria Wander is an NYC-based High Priestess, a CAP-ISAR certified astrologer, Director for the National Council of Geocosmic Research, astrological magician and budding herbalist.
